5 am, still raining
7 am, heavy rain
9 am, lakes forming in the field
11 am, when will it ever stop
1 pm, finally! A break in the weather. Forecast is for cloudy and light showers through tomorrow, then a few days of sun and cloud.
I don't think I mentioned, but the Scottish Scouts made dinner for the international Scouts last night. Ham & Potatoes & peas. No complaints from anyone when I went up there to visit them during campfire last night. Tonight was sausage casserole.
The Scouts participated in a variety of activities today, from team sports, to crafts, to the “Atholl Experience”. Some also picked probably the best day to go to Pitlochry and save the activities for a sunny day. Some of the events were moved into the big tent called the Kastle which is about 180 feet long about 40 ft wide. All the indoor activities are held in this tent, as well the Scout shop, camp bank, and other Scout services. Unfortunately some events were actually cancelled due to the wet.
It stopped raining this afternoon but it became quite chilly by the evening as the wind picked up. Most of the Scouts decided to keep warm in the Kastle tonight at the Dayglo Disco from 8 til 10:30.
