Jul 22 (afternoon)

Beautiful sunny weather this morning right from daybreak.  It's starting to dry out and by afternoon it's actually quite warm.  T-shirt and shorts weather for sure.
Every day after breakfast some time each sub-camp has inspection, before 10 am.  I asked a couple of the patrols how that went.  One patrol did very good.  Another, which will remain nameless, did quite poorly, according to the report I received from one of them.
Today was a great day for activities of all sorts.  I saw a few of our Scouts playing soccer, and others have gone to Pitlochry "shopping".  I've not been able to see any others today as yet, but I know some signed up for the Atholl experience, which I hope to run over and get some photos of later today.
Tonight the Scouts are preparing dinner for all the adults in their sub-camps.  Each "staff" member is assigned to a subcamp and will be eating with a particular pair of patrols (one Scottish and one International).  The staff are to bring some kind of treat, preferably relating to their nationality.  If any staff are like me and neglected to bring something from Canada the backup plan is chocolate and Irn Bru.
